Art District and the group is all here

All of our  group just arrived and they are tired and ready for rest! We will meet again early in the morning  for breakfast and sightseeing. Today Brandon, Tia, and I  had the opportunity to meet with a young man who is a family friend and working in Beijing for the summer. I think it was good for him to see some familiar faces and have someone with whom he could speak English. He was so kind to spend the day with us and show us around the Art District of China. I think it was also very refreshing for him to get a “Mom” gift from home. It reminded me of the scripture, “Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land.” Prov. 25:25  Sometimes we are so focused on doing what God called us to do that we forget to see Him all around us. A quote from the book, “Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire By Cymbala says, “We are not on the lookout for His outstretched hand.” It is my prayer that we can see His outstretched hand all around us this next week and we can be that outstretched hand to others.

Your post also “reminded me of the scripture, “Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land.” Prov. 25:25.” It’s soooo good to hear that all have arrived safely and are ready to go tomorrow morning!! Bless you for loving on that young man while in BJ… I know his Momma thanks you for it too. In fact, on your way home, would you pop over to Japan and love on my son too? I’m sure you’d run right into him on the AF base, he’s there for another 1.5 months.
Praying for you daily and very, very grateful that you’re blogging!! Hugs to all as we cheer you on from the other side.
